Installation Tips of Explosion Proof Solenoid Valve

Explosion proof solenoid valve is the equipment may ignite explosive gas mixture parts are all closed in a shell, the shell can withstand through the shell any joint surface or structural gap, penetrate into the shell inside the combustible mixture in the internal explosion without damage.

Explosion proof solenoid valve without plug is generally lead out of three lines, most of them should be equipped with explosion proof hose to cover the solenoid valve lead. In this article, ATO industrial automation will introduce some tips about explosion proof solenoid valve installation.

    • The pipeline must be cleaned and purged before installation to avoid impurities blocking the valve port and damaging the sealing surface. If there are small impurities and dust in the explosion-proof solenoid valve, the filter must be installed.
    • When installing, note that the arrow on the valve body should be consistent with the flow direction of the pipeline fluid, and the coil should be installed vertically upward and horizontally.
    • Before installation, check whether the pressure, temperature and voltage are consistent with the explosion-proof solenoid valve nameplate and actual parameters.
    • Pay attention to the medium clean, use should be cleaned regularly inside the valve body, disassembly should be checked at the same time after the gasket, found damaged should be replaced in time.
    • When installing, clamp the explosion proof solenoid valve body with a wrench, and then screw on the pipe, do not force on the coil, so as not to make the solenoid valve internal bending deformation and loose connection resulting in leakage.
    • Solenoid valve after installation must pass into the fluid action several times, to ensure normal operation, can be put into normal use.
    • The length of the DC power cable should not be too long to avoid power loss of the coil and voltage drop affecting normal operation.
    • The front and rear pipelines of the solenoid valve need to be equipped with pressure gauges to observe the pipeline pressure.
    • Solenoid valve inlet pressure must be greater than the outlet pressure, otherwise the solenoid valve will appear normally open state.

When the solenoid valve fails, in order to isolate the solenoid valve in time and ensure the normal operation of the system, it is best to install a bypass device. See Figure 1. When the solenoid valve is installed in the branch, the diameter of the solenoid valve should be smaller than the valve diameter of the main pipeline, as shown in Figure 2.
