    $141.29
A nitrate ion selective electrode (ISE) is a specialized sensor designed to measure the concentration of nitrate ions in a solution. This specific electrode offers a rapid and convenient method for on-site nitrate detection, enabling real-time analysis and aiding in the management of fertilizer use and pollution control. It needs to be used in conjunction with a reference electrode and an ion meter.

Tips: What is the typical range of detection for a nitrate ISE?

Ion-selective electrodes (ISEs) are analytical devices used to measure the concentration of specific ions in a solution. The detection range of a nitrate ISE depends on factors such as electrode design, membrane characteristics, and sample conditions. Typically, nitrate ISEs have a detection range spanning from low micromolar to millimolar concentrations. For environmental monitoring, this range is suitable for detecting nitrate levels in water samples, where concentrations may vary widely. The electrodes operate based on the Nernst equation, which relates the ion concentration to the electrode potential. Calibration is crucial to ensure accurate measurements across the desired range. It's important to note that while nitrate ISEs offer a convenient and rapid method for nitrate detection, they may have limitations in extreme conditions or when interference from other ions is significant. Regular maintenance and proper handling are essential for optimal performance.

Measuring nitrate ion concentration in soil
We want to measure the nitrate ion concentration in soil. I don't need an ion meter because I will use a microcontroller as an ion meter. My project is to draw an electrical schematic system, so I will use the pinout diagram of all the components and connect them together.

Do you have specific information about your electrode? Sorry, this nitrate ion electrode can only be used to measure liquid samples, not soil solid samples. It is generally used with an ion meter/pH meter. We don't have the pinout information of the electrode, it is a BNC interface.
    About the data logger
What is the data logger for the ATO-ISE-NITRATE product?

    ATO Responded
The device is only an electrode and needs to be used with a supporting instrument such as a pH meter or ion meter. The measured values can be displayed on the instrument and data storage is supported (about 1000 sets of data).
