Tips: What are the types of level sensor?

    • Ultrasonic level sensor
Ultrasonic level sensor is a non-contact sensor, which uses the principle of ultrasonic reflection, that is, the liquid level height is calculated by monitoring the time difference between ultrasonic transmission and reflection, so as to achieve the purpose of liquid level measurement.
    • Capacitive level sensor
The capacitive level sensor uses the capacitive detection principle, and the capacitive liquid level gauge measures the level of the liquid level by measuring the change of capacitance. It is a metal rod inserted into the liquid container, the metal rod is used as one pole of the capacitor, and the wall of the container is used as the other pole of the capacitor. The medium between the two electrodes is the liquid and the gas above it.
    • Float level sensor
The float level sensor is a non-contact liquid level sensor, which uses the magnetic float of the float level switch to rise or fall with the liquid level to make the reed switch chip at the set position in the sensor detection tube move, and send out the contact opening (Off) convert the signal.
    • Hydrostatic level sensor
The measurement principle is that the static pressure generated by the liquid column is a function of the liquid density and liquid level. The pressure sensor installed at the bottom of the storage tank measures the gauge pressure relative to the atmospheric pressure, and converts the measured value into the liquid level according to the known medium density.
    • Radar level sensor
Radar level sensor has the same advantages as the laser measurement principle, and is not affected by the measurement medium, less affected by the external environment, and does not require repeated calibration, especially suitable for in-tank measurement of large containers with heated steam, such as residual oil, asphalt and other monitoring fields.
